Sai Baba Gives Darshan As Poor Old Man – Experience Of Rana Gill

Mr. Gill visited India in the year 2006. Whenever he visits India he goes to the Holy Land of Shirdi. He started for Shirdi from Ambala Cantt., Punjab by train and reached Manmad (Maharashtra State). From Manmad he had to travel in bus to reach Shirdi. When bus stopped at Kopargaon bus stand which is about 15 Kms away from Shirdi. While he was seated in the bus he saw an old baba (baba means an elderly person in Marathi Language) who had a stick in his hand asking whether that bus went to Shirdi or not. Mr. Gill was watching the scene and so answered in affirmative. Since the man was very old, he had difficulty in stepping in the bus. Mr. Gill helped him and offered him his seat which was on the back of the driver’s seat. They were three persons sitting on the seat including Mr. Gill. Now Mr. Gill offered his own seat to the old baba. But other people argued with him that they dont want to sit with that baba as he was very old and poor man. The bus was full of passengers and by the time he was standing on the back side many people came ahead of him and he was helpless. Mr. Gill was feeling very sad because he could not help the old baba. When the conductor stepped in and saw the scene he at once caught the old baba’s hand very badly and pulled him out of the bus. He watched everything and said loudly that Baba wants him to go to Shirdi but conductor did not listen him. The bus started and Mr. Gill was watching from the window that the old baba was searching him outside the bus through the window. He was very sad all the way. He was feeling miserable as he could not help that old baba and all his efforts for help were in vain.

He reached Shirdi. In the evening Mr. Gill had good Darshan of Baba and of all other places and that time the old baba was almost out of his mind. Next day he retired from his morning chores and at about 3:30 AM he was going to Samadhi Mandir. The shops were closed and not a single person was seen around. He saw one old man coming from Dwarkamai to his side. When the old person came to nearer to him, he was shocked to see the same old baba with a stick in one hand and other hand was forwarded towards him for Bhiksha and Mr. Gill gave him some money. He started apolising for not being able to help him the day before and said Sorry. But the old baba did not speak any word just offered his hand for Bhiksha and Mr. Gill opened his wallet and gave him some more money. The old man took that money and transferred it in other hand and he blessed Mr. Gill by raising his hand like we all see Shirdi Sai Baba giving blessings and he left. When Mr. Gill walked almost ten steps away from him, it clicked in his mind, “May be He was Sai Babaji”. He turned back but could not find Him though he tried for half an hour on the same spot. Thus Mr. Gill was sure that the old baba was Babaji and tears rolled down from his eyes. After this incident Mr. Gill proceeded to Samadhi Mandir with joy which he never felt before and spent the whole day in Shirdi but could not find that old baba anywhere though a thorough search was made.

Now I leave to the readers to decide whether the old man was Shirdi Sai Baba or not.
