My Job Recruitment Experience – Sai Devotee Rajesh

Sai Brother Rajesh Ji from India says: Hi Everyone, this is Rajesh, one of the members of Sai’s family. I just want to share my experiences with fellow family members. Before starting to share, I just wanted to start with a prayer:

“Sadhanimba Vrukshsya Mooladhi Vasath
Sudhasravinam Tiktamapyapriyantham
Tharum Kalpa Vrukshadhikam Sadhayantham
Namameeswaram Sadhgurum Sainatham”

Sairam is helping and guiding me in all possible ways. There are no enough words to praise You, my guru. But with the knowledge and blessings given by You, I just want to thank You Baba by lightening the lamp of faith to Your followers. There may be mistakes in word tenses. I am poor in it. But my sharing is pure and really true.


Here it is: It was my 3rd year B. Tech., a time to face interviews. I already missed two. May be because of lack of preparation or lack of luck or something else (disqualified in written itself). Tears were always there in my eyes, whenever I missed an opportunity. This time, before attending towards another, a friend of my mom told me about a Saibaba temple nearby. She said that temple is filled with Baba pictures and idols fully.

When I went there, I saw the glorious and charming Baba. I was praying. Suddenly the owner of that temple (a very big devotee of Baba) took a big Baba picture, which was there beside Baba foot and came towards me and gave it to me and said “Stick this picture in your house, pray daily by lighting 3 agarbhatti and start reading Sai Satcharitra. Your dreams will be fulfilled soon”.

I did the same by completing Sai Satcharitra in a week. And finally it was the time for another interview arisen. This was my third company. And I don’t want to lose again. Written exam was started in the morning at 8 AM. There were nearly 800+ students participated in it. It was on-campus. It went till afternoon. Normally whenever recruitment happens in my college, canteen will be full and food will be less obviously. By the time, I went, only our favorite drink was available (i.e. water). Also I had my breakfast very little in the morning.

Now it was time for waiting for the results. They were announcing names. I was waiting to hear, biting my nails. And there was my name finally. Oh my God Baba, I cleared written exam. This was the first written exam I passed in recruitment and I was happy for that. Only 44 were selected from written out of 800+. This credit goes to Baba and later waiting for another round. Since my name in written was in last. They called me for technical interview around 4 PM. I was feeling so much hunger. But again by Baba’s grace, I cleared it.

Rats were playing in my stomach. I was fully hungry. I can’t go out for a break because I didn’t know, when will be my turn and I didn’t want to give up. I wore a Baba thread to my hand, which was given by my aunt, who went to Shirdi recently. I just saw it and looked into Baba’s eyes and said “I am feeling so hungry; please control my hunger till I clear this interview. Please give me enough strength to face it. Please.”

Finally they called me for HR round and it was 6 PM. I prayed to Baba and went inside with enough bold and confidence. HR was one woman. I had conversation with here as below:

HR: Hi Rajesh
Me: Hi Madam
HR: How are you?
Me: I am fine.
HR: You don’t look fine. Look into your eyes, you are feeling dull. Are you not feeling well?
Me: (Usually HR interview is for personal abilities you already know) I am fine. May be because of hunger it may look like that.
HR: I asked you people to eat and come. You didn’t?
Me: I said the reason whatever happened in cafeteria. I asked her to continue the interview.
HR: I can’t continue this interview like this.
Me: I was shocked. Maybe I should not have said the reason. I thought like she will not interview and ask for another person.

HR: She called peon and asked him to bring one plate of food. (Normally the management arrange food for the recruiters, but peon brought whatever was there, which was arranged to her and kept it in front of her)
HR: Please eat it Rajesh. I don’t want to interview you in this manner. Eat it, later we will discuss regarding this.
Me: No madam. I will continue interview. I will finish it soon and I will go for supper. I Hesitated to take it, because I though it may be a bad impression on me.
HR: If you eat only, I will continue, else I can’t.

Finally I was made to eat, and it was UPMA. Having many cashew’s in it. Actually I was in a shock that I was honored/helped/something else to eat. Then I realized it was Baba’s plan to make me eat. Do you remember initially before going to HR round, I prayed Baba to control my hunger. And He controlled it by giving me food. Thank You Baba. Thank You so much for whatever You did to me. Really You are the one existing in each and every part of this world. Really Baba heard my prayers and He replied it in the form of food -“UPMA”. I ate it fully and thanked Baba and went inside. Something was running in my mind whether I did it correctly or not. But I just laid my burdens on Baba and started conversation.

HR: Are you filled?
Me: Yes Madam with full strength. Also said like it is very nice, got good cashews. Thanks Madam.
HR: It’s ok. Shall we start?
Me: Yes Madam.
HR: Why Virtusa (Company Name)?
Me: I said whatever I know and also said whatever I liked in induction program.

It went smooth and ended pleasantly. But in one of corner of my thoughts had a feeling, whether eating UPMA will affect my career? Finally they were announcing the results in a meeting room. I was waiting, biting nails, waiting. Here comes my name. I was so much happy to hear it. And only 11 were selected out of 44, who went through written.

Really amazing, I was very happy, enjoying a lot and I was slowly recollecting whatever happened. And I realized it is because of one and only my Sat Guru Saibaba. Because of only His grace, His blessings, His existence made this victory. I can say like it was a miracle in Recruitment history. Really Baba, You are great. You are omnipresent. My dear fellow members, I just want to say one thing. “Just put all your burdens on Baba and have strong faith in Him and also show your level best, surely He will show you the miracles”

In what way, I can be thankful to You Baba? Then I realized what Baba needs. “He wants His kingdom to be expanded through Shraddha & Saburi” Faith and Patience is necessary for Baba devotees. Always have these two with you.

Rajesh first of all congratulations on ur placement..it was indeed sai's intervention that made this possible for u..ur story of placement is quite similar to mine..i mean even i got my dream job in my dream company purely due to sai grace..i qualified out of 900 candidates in written test and only 45 went for interview and then 20 people were selected and i was one of them….this company am talking about is a dream company for many people and everybody wish to work for this company surely at some point of their life and i was lucky one that got it..THANK U so much for posting ur story and all the best in ur job..

  18. I am really shocked reading your experience today.
    Thatswhat going on in my life now.
    This time i passed my written exam by Baba's grace after two consecutive failure.
    and i appeared for my interview on 3 september 2013. The result was expected on 20.9.2013 but not declared and it may be get declared on 23.9.2013. I also put all my worries and burden on Baba.
    Yesterday i went early to office and not able to have my breakfast, so when i went to canteen it was closed and i was so hungry. I just prayed Baba to take care of me and that canteen boy arranged some Upama with kaju for me along with tea. I thanked Baba for his kindness. Now i take this experience as blessing of Baba and i have my full faith in Baba that i will be one of those successful candidates. Plz pray for me. Om Sai Ram

  23. Nice and blessed experience Rajesh. You will also recall from Satcharita that Baba does not like fasting or going about your work on an empty stomach. Also he tells that offer of food is an auspicious sign. So this is really typical of Baba's style of telling that He is with you and He is driving all that is happening in your life. He did not want you to complete the task on hand on an empty stomach. Hence food was forced on you and the result was a success!!

    • Dear Devotee, I feel like I am not capable of telling about Baba but I will try my level best. Baba is our father, mother, brother, friend and what not. We are nothing without our beloved god "Sai Baba". Sai Baba is Krishna, Rama, Ganesha, Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma and the list goes on. He is a dayamayi. He only wants 2 coins (things) from us. One is Shraddha (Faith) and the other one is Saburi (Patience). Whenever you are in trouble, call him or chant his name "Sai Sai" and you will see the miracle. He is the only one who can help us even when there is no one around us. The more faith and patience you have, the more fruitful be the results.

    This is an awesome experience. Surely the Baba came in the form of HR and fed you the delicious upma with cashews before your interview. As Baba does not believe in doing things in an empty stomach wuld ever be successful. Congratulations on your placement and as you said let Baba's Shraddha and Saburi expand around! Jai Sai Ram!!

  46. BABA please BABA , I am helpless now due to my debts. My wife doesn't want me as I haven't got enough criteria which she needs. Also I gave up my parents for my wife. But I couldn't completely forget my parents even though they did something against my wife. But as far as I know both parties made mistake. But no one realise their mistakes Baba. The main issue is , I badly need my beloved wife as well as my parents. But it seems like that I can choose only one in the current situation. So please BABA guide me to take the decision which doesn't hurt any one else. Otherwise please take me with you. BABA you know about my pain as a mother and father of mine. I wish that I have to choose my beloved wife and give up parents for a while ( until I convince her). Then I can have parents back into my life. If so please give enough strength to my parents and guide them to follow your path.
