Sai Baba Surely Takes Your Burden – Anonymous Sai Devotee

Following is a well drafted and interesting series of experiences with Lord Sai Baba which this anonymous devotee narrates.

Anonymous Devotee from India says: I am Sai Devotee, aged 46, living in Delhi, and a father of 7+ years son. From very young age, I knew about Saibaba as fortunately I used to live very near to Sai Temple at Lodhi Colony area and was probably only one temple in 1977 in Delhi. But I was an occasional visitor to temple more so as fun rather than devotion.

In year 1981, I was a school kid. I was traveling to south India with family in bus as a package tour of 24 days. Though Shirdi was not in our schedule yet due to some reasons the organizer and some important persons in the Bus decided to divert the tour through Shirdi. A couple of families in the bus were acting with authority and were appearing influential. However, when we reached Shirdi, the passengers were getting accommodated in Dharmsala etc by tour promoter, but unfortunately three families sitting in last seats of Bus were unable to get accommodation. Our family was one of them. We were much irritated and were much bothered.

The tour promoter came and requested us to cooperate with the possible arrangement he was able to manage. That we have to stay inside the temple on the first floor on left side (while facing Baba statue). Obviously he gave us lot many warnings to behave properly, not to have any drink etc etc. Honestly, that day we were stupid enough not to understand the value of our luck, fortune as Baba Himself was our host. Till date whenever I visit Shirdi, inside the temple I try to get a glimpse of that room. That night I slept in that room and next morning woke up with Kakad Aarti. I went down, and touched the shrine with ease and can’t express. Surely that day, we were idiots not realizing what we were given.

In 1993, I went to Kuwait for job, but some months later my father was severely sick, with some problem occurring in his Brain Nerves. Everyone was almost certain about his fatal end. I sent all the money I saved by then for his treatment and was praying Baba. He said in my conscious “do not worry at all”. Within couple of days, he improved and came back home from moolchand hospital.

In 1996, I came in India for vacation. During my stay, one day I saw my mother coming from market with a heavy vegetable bag in her hand. It was so difficult for her to come upward in Mehrauli area that she was holding her lower lip within her jaw. I felt immense pain for her. I started searching for a house in better location, but all was in vain. Either I did not like the house or my budget was not good enough. I went to Shirdi in March 1996, first time after 1981. It was few days prior Ramnavami. The crowd was too heavy. To our (my sister, her husband, her two kids and her mother in law) surprise, when we purchased Prasad etc and entered in the temple, it was miraculously empty. We had a long Darshan. I prayed for my parents well being and for a provision of house for them as I requested for a shelter of their own at such an age. I went back to Kuwait in April and by the month of May end my younger brother and my mother were able to get a house. Surprisingly again, the house cost was just same amount as we budgeted and I left with my mother.

If I carry on, there are innumerable number of instances, when He hold my family. He is truly the head of our family. He saved my wife from the door of permanent liver damage. He gave me a child, when it was not possible as per medical advice or astrology. He saved us from false implicated legal cases twice to astonishing surprise of legal experts. I still recall that night, when I was deeply depressed due to my younger brothers divorce case, where his in-laws were very strong, indeed very very strongly placed to cause us tremendous harm and the judge being linen towards them. I felt Baba entered from main door and sat beside me on the couch, looking at me with His assuring eyes, “do not worry”. Thereafter things changed and our lawyer tried his best and the judge was compelled to be soft and change his stance.

But I am constantly failing to be His good child. Rarely I am able to shower my devotion to Him. Till date, I don’t know why He is so much merciful to us, but it’s my utmost desire that at least once He allows me to feel that I am improving on His teaching.

  3. Sai Baba, While reading your prerna, I stumbled upon one line that " You save us from all the calamities" and you proved it again in spite of robbers robbing our house in my parents absence. You were there to protect us and our belonging. I pray to you to keep guarding our house and my parents as they need you all the time. I thank you for taking care of my parents and giving them courage to face the status of the house after the burglary. I pray you that we should not face similar situation in our life.

  7. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience.The way you have written it clearly shows that you are strongly devoted towards him, whether you know it or not.

    Baba has never set any rules in praying him. It doesn't matter if you don't do pooja paat, vrat or abhishek etc…it is all about what you feel for him in your heart. Just think about Sai, say Sai atleast once in a day with utmost devotion and that is enough. Try to do good to other human beings and that would make Baba happy. If you want to improve just ask Baba for guidance and he will show you the way.

    Just have faith in him and he will surely be with you and your family forever.

Don't worry, Baba knows all our short comings and although we may trip and fall sometimes, Baba is our Father and Mother and just as a Father/Mother will forgive their child for any mistakes and never stop loving them, so too Baba will always love us. Baba has helped you very well many times in your life and you (like all of us) are very lucky to have Baba by our side. When we feel we are alone, we aren't (no matter where we go), Baba is there to help us. Om Sai Ram!
