My Experiences with Shirdi Sai Baba – Sai Devotee Jyothi

Lord Sai Baba knowingly or unknowingly enters into His devotees life only to help them live this world sorrow with strength. In fact we all never knew before that one day Lord Baba will be holding our hands as now. Such is an experience of Sai sister Jyothi and it is being shared below.

Sai Sister Jyothi ji from India says: Hello, this is Jyothi from India. I would like to share my experience here. I have been planning to write my experiences for quite some time. But looks like now is the time that was chosen by Baba.

Sai Baba has been my savior in so many ways over the past few years. I don’t think I could have grazed through all the bad things that happened, without His grace. I am forever thankful to my lord SAI BABA, for making me realize so many things and giving me answers when I was not even sure about the questions in life. I feel His presence around me all the time.

Baba came into our life through my father. My father has been a lifelong agnostic, but he was given the opportunity to go and stay in Shirdi for more than a week in 84’. He was there on a project. He got to meet some people who had seen my Baba in flesh. My father though he didn’t pray, somehow brought Baba into our lives. Once Sai came into our house, He never left. Although I did pray and all, I never realized the greatness of Baba until I was in my Post Graduate level in college.

• Experience 1:

  I was pursuing my MBA in 2004. Since our batch joined in very late that year, we had to take up exams in 16 papers that 1st semester. You can imagine what it is like to prepare for 16 subjects in a span of less than a month. I was never a studious type. In fact, I was a very average student. Even though, I tried hard to study; I just could not concentrate; I had difficulty remembering things. It was a bad situation; I had a feeling that I was going to fail in more than 1 paper. I cried and cried and was very scared of the outcome.
  
  Having heard a lot from my mother about the greatness of Shri Sai Satcharitra, I decided to ask Baba about my outcome. I prayed and begged Him to give me an answer. I opened a page in random and it was Chapter 29 were the son of the Tendulkar family was unsure of his exam results and was afraid he will fail. Baba says to his mother “Let him appear for the examination with a calm mind, he is sure to pass this year. Ask him to trust in Me and not to get disappointed”. I was so at peace after reading this and went to the exam room with confidence that I will pass in all 16 subjects and I did. I got 1st class mark in all subjects. This created in me a new fondness for Sai and I have never faltered in my faith since.

• Experience 2:

  My mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2004 and was somehow cured through Baba’s grace. But when the cancer reoccurred in 2010 I was shattered. I was begging Baba to save her again. She was only 50 and I didn’t want to lose her. Even though, the doctors were giving us very sad news one after the other, saying it was not easy to cure and we should be prepared for the worst. I knew that Baba will do whatever is best. Within a few weeks from her diagnoses, we found that her cancer was not as dangerous as first thought and that it was curable. This happened only because of BABA’s grace. She is under treatment and her symptoms are disappearing. We even recently made a trip to Shirdi and there in Dwarakamai, Baba opened my eyes again and gave me answers. As some of you may know the Dwarakamai, where our Lord Baba lived, is open till late at night. Devotees go there to sit and experience the energy there. My mother and I went there to read Sai Satcharitra. My mother was sitting in one of the front steps of the mosque and reading. I was on the floor constantly looking inside, imagining our Baba was still there and that He was seeing all of us there, His children. I prayed and opened a page in random and the chapter was 22, where He says to Balasaheb Mirikar “This is our Dwarakamayi, where you are sitting. She wards off all dangers and anxieties of the children, who sit on Her lap. This Masjidmayi (its presiding Deity) is very merciful; She is the mother of the simple devotees, whom She will save in calamities. Once a person sits on Her lap, all his troubles are over. He, who rests in Her shade, gets Bliss”. This happened when I was inside Dwarakamai. He also says to Bapusaheb Booty “What does this Nana say? He foretells death for you. Well, you need not be afraid. Tell him boldly “Let us see how death kills”. I was so happy and relieved and I was crying. I just could not stop my tears. Baba gave me all the answers I wanted. He never gave room for doubt. I know for a fact that my mother will be cured, not because of the doctors, or medicines, but because of the mercy of my Baba. I love Baba. I know I have problems just like everybody else in life, but somehow He will be there at my side to help me face them.
