Baba Saved Lives
Anonymous Devotee from USA says: I have been reading this blog since a few months. I pray every day to Baba and believe that He is showering His Grace on us constantly. As you may have heard in Oklahoma, USA, there were two deadly tornadoes. There was one tornado that came previous to the big one that is not much talked about. The weather forecast had been for severe weather. Tornadoes are common in the spring season in this part of the country.
That Sunday evening, we heard the news that bad weather was coming. They showed the skies were very cloudy and predicted tornado may touchdown anytime. The TV showed how it was circling in the sky and that was quite scary. They cannot tell when and where it will hit as it all depends on the wind and pressure. The tornado was trying to come down, but again it would rise up. This went on for some time.
The weather man pointed out to some areas and possible path of the tornado. Immediately sirens began to sound and with this warning you should either go to a basement or into an interior closet and take shelter. My husband was home and my mother-in-law who is 88 years old is with us. She has Parkinson’s and is very weak. We do not have a basement, so we hid in the closet and put a chair where my mother-in-law sat and was reading her prayers. I kept praying to Baba to save us. The tornado came almost upto the traffic lights near our house and then wind changed and it turned away. The previous street, houses had some roof damage and fence fell. There was lot of structural damage to building very close to our house. The windows were all shattered. But to us nothing happened. Not even strong wind or even a tree limb fell. We just lost electricity and cell phone service for several hours. That’s all.
The next day, May 29th again they had predicted severe weather. The worst tornado in history, an EF5 that category is the highest came. This tornado did not come near our house. I was relieved, but my husband was working close to the area that they predicted. I tried calling his cell to warn him and ask him to leave, but the calls did not go through. For 2 hours, I was worried and kept praying. The tornado hit very badly and I did not know where he was. Buildings were all leveled, cars mangled and debris was flying everywhere. But later he called and said he had left the area and was heading home. The devastation was so bad. Many homes and lives were lost. I am very sad. But I am so thankful to Baba to have protected us. If this had happened with the previous day tornado, we would not have been alive. Unless you took cover underground there was no way to survive.
Tornadoes come up very suddenly and they cannot predict exactly till the last minute where it will hit and how strong it will be. Nature has its own way and man is at its mercy very often. Only God’s Grace is the savior. I had read of Baba’s Leelas in Sat Satcharitra and other experiences and never thought I could myself feel the impact of His mercy.
How Amazingly I Got Introduced To Shri Sai Baba
Anonymous Devotee from USA says: We are based in CA, USA. My wife had known Shri Sai Baba since last 5-6 years. She prayed Him during her second pregnancy and added His beautiful picture at pooja place in our home then. I have been performing my prayers in same pooja place and uttering Guru Mantra unconsciously in front of His picture, thinking Him more as Guru rather than thinking Him as SAI because I wasn’t introduced or had awareness of Him as I am aware of Lord Shri Ram or Shri Hanuman or Shri Krishna or Lord Shiva, etc.
Since my childhood, when I was in India, I heard about Him vaguely and that’s all, but I was never part of our religious activities or discussions among friend and/or family members then. Now here is the miracle.
Around 3 months back, I was browsing some religious video using YouTube application on my TV (TV is connected to internet) and then got side tracked and left things as is on the TV. After some time, some video of Baba Ji started playing on its own in the YouTube App, on our TV, and it caught my attention as the characters (artists) in the video resembled to Sai Baba TV serial characters that use to come on Delhi Doordarshan. It used to be known then as DD II sometime back in 1987s or early 90s. I don’t remember exactly. And I got glued to the TV and watched the entire video, along with my wife and little daughter. And since then my life has changed spiritually quite significantly.
I felt as if I’ve hit the jackpot and found something that I’ve been missing in my life all along, but I wasn’t sure what was it until I re-discovered Shri Sai Baba. I felt as if He blessed me with His introduction to me and my conscience as an outcome of my uttering of Guru Mantra in front of His picture unconsciously for last couple of years. He did that by making me watch that Sai video on my TV. Now, I have become complete Shri Sai devotee, performing all of His Aartis every day even at my work place, going to His temple every Thursday, read Shri Sai Satcharitra completely few times, currently reading “Sai Baba The Master”, preaching and quoting others Sai Satcharitra to their dismay. He has become my life and I have deeply fallen in love with Him. I always want to see and feel His Shree feets and face in from of my eyes and in my heart. I pray and say to Him that “come whatever please don’t let me forget you and vice versa and we live in each other heart forever, not only this life, but next many lives”.
Since last one year, I have been praying for my promotion and transfer, as I’ve been stagnated in my current professional role and more importantly I wanted to move to another office of the same company, in a country that is much closer to my mom in India and may be Baba stepped in to help me. I am still waiting for this wish to get fulfilled and currently keeping Shri Sai Vrat. Meanwhile, He has already blessed us with couple of things already. In my next post I’ll share how He helped us, financially and with Air Ticket reservations, making plans for visit to Shirdi and our parents and family in India. Shri Sai bless us all!!! Baba is everywhere. HE is with his devotees day and night. Every experience above mentioned just reiterates HE is with his devotees in every possible way. I just had an amazing experience. I am a student staying alone in a foreign country. I was just cooking and suddenly my finger got cut. It was a deep cut and was bleeding very badly. I managed to finish my cooking but as soon as it got over, my finger again started bleeding and this time very badly. Continuously blood was flowing. I prayed to Baba and said, I have no one except You here. Nobody to take me to the hospital this late in the night also. I cannot do anything because there is nobody to help me at this time. It is only You who can do anything. Saying so, I put a napkin over the finger, held it tight and started chanting Sai Sai Sai……Just after 5 mins, surprisingly bleeding simply stopped. And, now there are no traces of blood anymore. For almost half an hour the bleeding had not stemmed but when I started praying to Sai, it stopped. Baba, You are the best…..I surrender to You, heart and soul. Now I am sure You will bring back my husband and set my life absolutely straight. Dear Sai brothers and sisters, our Baba is the best. Just surrender to Him and He will take us to our destinations. OM SAI RAM

Pl help me out in this problem….This is abt my husband,he is very loving n hardworking guy,…but he doesnt believe in God,….he used to light a agarbathi everyday after having bath in the morning…and i used to be satisfied with this….but recently he has stopped doing it,i have asked him abt the same but he very rudely said that he wont do it ever again and it is of no use…..i was extremely hurt by this…….becoz i cant tolerate anythg against my sai….baba has been a very integral part of my life,and he has always proved his presence in and around my life…i dont really want anythg more in my life,jus that my husband shud become sai devotee…that will be the biggest gift ever…i want to sing sai aarathi and do puja with my husband together,thats my biggest dream ever…
Baba pl help me out in this i dont wish for anythg more in my life…I really want my husband to be ur devotee…

Dear Sujata Ji, I appreciate your thoughts. Even I pray Baba that all my family members become staunch devotees of Baba and pray him whole heartedly. Remember what Baba said in Satcharitra. People who have good deeds or done good things in previous life will come near Sai. Others cannot or it may take time for them to come near Sai. Please leave it to Sai and ask Baba to pull your husband near him. If possible, give your husband, udi mixed in water or tea (without him knowing it). I am sure Baba will bless you.

Madam-
My father is a very religious man. He fasts every pradosham, goes to the temples regularly, and always encouraged us to pray. But he did not believe in Sai. He did not stop me or my mother in our belief, but he did not believe in him or encourage our prayers to sai, but didnt discourage as well. When we wanted to visit shirdi, he let both of us go and made arrangements, but did not go with us. I left home for college two years ago, and do not know all that happens at home.
But now, he is a devotee as well. When my life fell apart, and I called him and cried, he told me to trust Sai, sent me Sai's murthies, pics, satcharitra, udi from shirdi, and sai string to alleviate my pain and to help me. Tirupathi balaji and Lord Shiva are also my favorite Gods – Infact Balaji is very very dear to me. But he suggested to lay my fears and wishes to Sai Baba. I do not know what happened in the last two years, but he changed to believing in Sai and encouraging prayers and performing prayers to Sai himself.
I believe Sai called out to him, and he will do the same to you husband as well when the time is right. Have patience and faith. We cannot force how someone feels about something easily – but we can be there to guide them when questions arise.

I have one question can someone answer me please.
In Satcharitha or in this block everyone talks about mixing the udi with water and drink. After taking the shower or after having the face wash I have a habit of applying the little udi on my forehead and put a pinch in my mouth. Is this ok or do we need to mix it with water and drink it.
