Shraddha And Saburi – Sai Devotee Mina

Sai Sister Mina Ji from USA says: Lord Sai Baba often shows His own way to rescue His devotees. During hard times, we question, “Why did He do so,” but as time passes we realize, with a smile on our face, that everything that He has done for us was for our own betterment only. How can this merciful God cause any harm to His kids even if his or her past deeds were not pure? I had promised my Sai Deva to post this experience a long time ago, but I did not do it until now. It is guaranteed that if we have complete faith and patience in our dearest BABAJI, He will not let us down at any point in time. Even though at times it may appear like He is not listening to us, we learn later that this is not true as all the bad experiences turn into something great. When I came to know Babaji in 2005, I was unemployed. But by Baba’s grace, I found a new job in a very short period of time. At the same time, my son was pursuing his college education. He is a very brilliant student and also a devotee of BABAJI.


But his journey starts from here. Sometimes we do not realize Baba’s power until we are faced with one problem after another. Even from the beginning, my son was struggling a lot with living on his own in a different environment and attending college out-of-state. He was not able to concentrate on the achievement of his goal, and I knew he was not happy!! No mother can tolerate her son to be in such a situation. Day by day, every time he called, I would comfort him by reminding him to keep his faith and patience in Baba. Even with this situation, he recognized that things were working, out by Baba’s grace, and because of the following experience, he now believes in Baba even more than I do.

In 2009, after graduating from one of the best colleges in the country, my son decided to apply to medical school. But the competition is very tough. You must have many extra-curricular activities, like volunteering and research, but also a good MCAT score while keeping up the GPA just to get an interview. Unfortunately, we knew he would have a hard time since his GPA was lower than the average GPA. But medical school is like the lottery; sometimes, you need to get lucky to win the competition. To show his dedication to medical school, he decided to give up his favorite food, chocolate, until he is accepted into medical school. How could I eat chocolate without my son? So I decided to give up chocolate too. He took the MCAT in 2009, and again by Baba’s grace, he made an excellent score (top 3%).

He started applying to a few medical schools. Yet, none of the schools were giving him a positive signal. Either they placed him on the waiting list after the interview or rejected him. So there was no hope for the 2010 class. Inside his heart, I could tell he was crying every time he received bad news from a school, and I could not bear it at all to see him getting more and more upset. Praying to Baba every minute of every day, I asked Him to give my son and me lots of patience and courage to deal with all this pain.

He then decided to pursue a Masters in Public Health (MPH). However, he never once gave up on his dream of becoming a doctor. After completing the MPH after two years, he decided to apply to medical school again in 2011 for the 2012 class. But the same situation was happening again; after several interviews, he was still not getting a positive response. But inside Baba was telling him, please do not lose faith in me, so he continued his life with a smile waiting for the results! But I was asking Baba, “What is my son doing wrong?” My guess was that his past karma must have been holding back his success.

In the meantime, he decided to work, but he was miserable waiting for each school’s response with nothing on his mind other than getting into any medical school. But he never lost faith and patience. Suddenly, one faithful Saturday afternoon, our family was sitting together, when the mail arrived. Usually my husband or one of my sons get up right away to get the mail, but when no one went to get it, I decided to go. I had a feeling my Baba was answering my prayers and giving us the biggest surprise. Finally on his lucky day, June 16th, he was accepted to a very reputed medical school for his MD. WOW! My whole family was excited and crying (with joy) that day to celebrate. Thank You Baba so much for making my son happy! And thanks Baba so much from the bottom of our heart for making the whole family so joyful to see him so happy!

This experience once again affirmed to me that Baba is always with us and that we are always under His guidance. I thank Him again and again with my heart full of gratitude and love. Our eyes were filled with tears of joy and we pray to Him to always be with us and keep on showering His grace and guiding us on the right path.

Again I ask Baba for His guidance in helping my son as before. After finishing one semester of school happily, another difficult situation started in January 2013 after two weeks into his second semester. All of a sudden, he became very sick and started to vomit. Every time he would eat or drink even a little bit of water, he would get so much pain in his chest that he would have to vomit the food and water to get any relief. Because he could not eat or drink anything, he was admitted into the hospital because of dehydration. After running many tests, the doctor said my son must have had a viral infection and is now suffering from pain in his esophagus (swallowing tube) with a condition called Achalasia. Two weeks of treatments led to no improvement, so the doctor decided to inject medicine directly into his esophagus in order to reduce the pain, so he could eat and drink again. We (the whole family has faith in our lord, Baba) pray to please help him get back to normal as before. Every day, my prayers to Baba are to please give him lots of strength, happiness, and blessings. Om Sai, bless all!!!

  39. OM SAI RAM…Oh my lord my sai deva please help this child and make him well.

    Today i was very ubset and had fight with my parents….but in the evening my dad brought me 3 keychains which is having saibaba photo on it.It is given by some sai devotee to my dad.

    i was so happy after recieving this prasad.Baba ji please keep blessing us …..i have completed my 9guruvaarvrat…..hope baba ji will also give me nice job.I have become very frustated as i am jobless for the last 2 yrs and also of marriagable age.

    baba ji iam nothing without u…..i want to make this bond forever…..never leave us alone.

  46. Nice experience! Baba never left your son's side as your son never lost faith in Baba despite having to go through so much to get into medical school. Don't worry, Baba will be with him also during this time when he is sick and will make sure that His son gets better soon. Baba chose for him to go to this medical school and knows he will be a success there, so I am sure Baba will make him better soon so your son can be a very successful doctor in USA. Om Sai Ram!

    My husband also suffered from this and later it got completely cured by baba's grace.he went thru a procedure called balloon dilation..it is simple procedure..plz refer and ask the doctor about it..thanks..

    Hi, i am a Sai Devotee from the time i had mt senses.It has been a rough walk trading the path of Faith and Patience.i am still praying to BABA to find my soul mate, my time is slipping by and every day i wake up with this prayer "BABA please get me my soul mate and help me to get married" every night i sleep with the same prayer.
    Her experience provides the much needed boost of confidence whch dips at times.God bless her.
