Meeting With Sai Baba For First Time

Anonymous Devotee from India says: Hi Hetal Ji, I am regular reader of your blog. Reading Baba’s experiences give me satisfaction and happiness that I am also lucky one to be blessed like others. Please keep me anonymous. Jai Sai Ram. Baba, help me to write my experience.

I never worshiped Sai Baba. I just had heard His name. When I was in second year of my dental college, a girl gave me small original photo of Shree Sai with calendar on the other side as she returned from Shirdi. I don’t know why but I kept it in my wallet (I still have it). In Third & Final years our college, bus used to stop at a petrol pump and sometimes students got down to drink water, when there was long queue of cars and buses. Some girls used to go to Sai temple adjoining petrol pump in jiffy. I also went with them 3-4 times. Just bowed in front of Sai Baba’s photo and kept some money. After That I never worshiped Him, but His photo was still in my wallet. Later I got married and went to USA and stayed for some time.

Just before returning back to India (Pune), I saw TV serial ‘Man Mein Hai Vishwas’, which was based on Saibaba. Baba went to His devotee in form of a dog. I was really impressed with His teachings. After coming to Pune, I thought I should visit Shirdi. I and my husband and my 7 months old daughter headed to Shirdi in the morning and reached there around 12 o’clock noon. While we were getting out of the car, the garland and prasad shop guys came and told us to rush inside the temple fast as it was Aarti time and we can attend Aarti also. I left my daughter’s juice and water bottle as we were in hurry. I thought we will do Darshan quickly and had no idea how much time it takes for Darshan. It was really hot (June). Time was passing as we were in queue. Half an hour, 1 hour, 1 and a half hours. My daughter started crying badly. I had no idea what to do? How long it will take to reach Samadhi? All I could see were people everywhere and my daughter crying as she was hungry. I felt like crying. I and my husband sat on bench to pacify our crying daughter. Soon a woman with a child came near me and she gave me a Bisleri bottle with little water in it. She told me to give this to your baby she will be fine. I wonder how she read my mind as I was thinking whether I should give this water to small baby or not as it might be used by them (jhoota). She instantly told me “Jhoota nahi hai mere bachche ka hai”.

I poured some water in bottle’s cap and gave my daughter. Just after drinking 1-2 sips my daughter was fine. She stopped crying immediately. I felt so relieved. I thought I should say thanks to that lady. The moment I looked up I could not see that lady. I stood up and looked everywhere, but I couldn’t find her. I wonder where she vanished in jam packed queue. Later on I realized it was Shree Sai himself, who could not see a small baby crying in His Samadhi Mandir.

That time I could not get Baba’s Darshan, which I got on my second trip to Shirdi. But I became Saibaba’s follower from that day and I know that whatever I have achieved in my life is because of Shree Sainath. Baba, please bless me always in the same way You have blessed us in all these years. Thanks for everything Baba.

My Sai Vrat Experience

Sai Sister Jaya Ji from USA says: Dear Hetal Ji, I came across your site during difficult times of my life and reading the experiences of devotees gave me courage to face my problems and remember Sai is there for us like our mother and Guru. I pray to Sai to bless you with good health and happiness for the noble cause you are doing. Sai entered my life when I was 7 year old. My dad got His picture from Shirdi and told us stories about our great Sai. Sai has done lot of miracles in my life, but I would like to share this particular experience where He showered His grace on my friend.

My best friend had a difficult married life. She had been facing problems with her husband and her in-laws for almost seven years. It came to an extent her husband wanted her to move out of the house with her 4 year old son. We did our best in trying to mediate, but nothing worked and she left her part time job and went back to India. After 8 months, my friend wanted to return back to her husband, but he was in no mood to call her and wanted to separate legally from her. I was very upset and worried about the child, who was very attached to his dad. I went to Baba’s temple and prayed to Him to shower His blessings on the child, while returning back from Darshan; I saw a pamphlet about Sai Nav Guruvar Vrat. I took it as a Sai’s wish and started doing the Vrat in behalf of my friend as I didn’t know whether she will believe as she belonged to different religion.

After 4 weeks of completing the Vrat, my friends situation got worst in India due to her in-laws. She cried to me over the phone and I told her not to worry and she will be back in USA by next 5 weeks. I told her that I trust in my Sai, and He can change any one and any situation leave alone her husband. After one week, a miracle happened and she got an interview from immigration and had to attend it in next 4 weeks. Her husband spoke to her and sent her airline ticket for her to return to USA. She came back before I finished my 9 weeks of Vrat.

Things got better between her husband and her. My friend started believing in Baba and asked me to take her to temple. She was trying for a job and nothing was working out. I took her to Baba’s temple and told her that she has a happy life ahead and Baba wouldn’t have brought her here to suffer, but to have a happy life with her husband and kid. After one week, she got a permanent job in one of the biggest firm even though she doesn’t have enough work experience. Now she is happy with her husband and son and they are planning for another kid. Baba thank You for showering Your blessings on my friend. Have trust and patience and our Sai will guide and protect you.

My Experience

Sai Brother Sumanth Ji from Singapore says: I am a Baba devote from 2011 and read Sai Satcharitra everyday one chapter. Since then my life has changed. I have seen a lot of adversity in my life so far having lost all my wealth and now only wealth I have is Shirdi Sai Baba blessings, which has kept me afloat.

During the ’80’and 90′, I was a regular traveler to Europe and had become accustomed to alcohol and had resorted to drinks regularly and had even become a trainee wine taster joining wine drinking group every week. One day, in the midst of all my adversity one early morning, I heard a voice telling me to stop drinks. Also I was browsing through the Saibaba answers on the internet, wherein we can choose from 1-720 numbers and there also it came one day to give up alcohol. Around October of 2011, one day I just gave up alcohol in the bargain losing many known friends and associates and came to Baba’s fold and now my only friend philosopher and guide is Shirdi Sai with whose blessings I am leading a life.

Reading Sai Satcharitra has changed my whole perception of life and this has kept me going with hope and faith that one day I shall become a normal person inspite of facing heavy financial difficulties and heavy debts. My son too was struggling and after he braced Baba, he also got a good job and is now settled and started his life. What more we can ask for if we have blessings of Shirdi Sai. Jai Sai Ram.

  6. Baba, It made me tear when I read you came as a mother and offered water when you couldn't bear a baby crying in your mandir. The blessings you have showered me in my life I can never forget it. When I donated most of my salary for poor kids' education, immediately you raised my salary because you never wanted me to suffer because of the charity. But I have lost almost everything in my life baba. Everything. Except the trust I have in you. I have been crying for more than 6 years, My parents are crying by thinking of my ruined life. Please baba, Please bring back the life I lost. Please show me mercy baba.

  19. Wonderful experiences of miracles that happen when we have blessings of Him. Always a pleasure to read them. The first thoughts that came to my mind when reading the second experience is in this day of age when we are so caught up with our wants and needs, the friend is so blessed to have you as a support by praying for her, guiding and doing vrat for her well being. Very nice experiences! 1st devotee, Baba calls us to Him at different times (sometimes early in life, sometimes later in life), but Baba called you at the right time and showed you His presence by helping to give your daughter water during the pooja when she was crying. Sumanth Ji, it was Baba who wanted you to stop drinking and wanted you to become more devoted to Him so he helped you through those difficult times in your life. Jaya Ji, your very nice experience shows that we can do 9 weeks vrat to help anyone (if they believe in Baba or not) and it will help them if we perform it with faith and devotion. Om Sai Ram!
