My First Contact With Sai Baba

Anonymous devotee from Kuwait says: I am a devotee of Sai Baba since a long time. My husband’ s transfer to Panvel brought me in contact with Sai Baba. Before this, I had never heard of His name. Whatever, I am today, it’s all the blessings of Sai Baba. It all started way back in 1986.

I am blessed with two children. The second one, my daughter was born on 20th November. My husband changed his job just after her birth and this brought us to Panvel .

We were happy there and my parents used to visit us very often. It was one evening, my father had Ankita (my daughter) in his arms and he was just playing with her. It was that time that my husband returned. My father’s back was towards him and Ankita’s face was on his shoulder. So my husband was just talking to her, touching her hands and face.

My father thought that my husband got hold of my daughter’s hand, let her go. She fell down. I was horrified . Took her to the doctor.

It was at this time, I came in contact with a friend who was a great devotee of Sai Baba. He told me to go to Shirdi and pray to Him. He also asked me to go to the Sai mandir in Panvel as well. Ankita had a big lump on her head because of the fall. I wanted to go to Shirdi as soon as possible.

We took a train to Nasik and from there went by a bus. On reaching Shirdi, we refreshed ourselves and after buying prasad stood in the queue. During that time, there were no shades and we had to stand in the scorching heat. But my baby was sleeping peacefully all the time and after a couple of hours we entered the Samadhi mandir.

I was chanting His name all the time and after offering the Pooja, sat down just a little distance from His grand statue. I was praying to Him fervently and and then I saw a light coming out of Sai ‘s eyes …. And I can’t describe my feelings. I was overwhelmed, and I knew my daughter was blessed.

We came back to the room, rested and came down with our luggage as we had to catch the bus to Mumbai. My husband was looking for someone to take us to the bus stand as the luggage was heavy. We were getting late and suddenly we saw a man coming our way with a limp. He volunteered to carry our suitcase. My husband asked how much will he take and can you imagine, he asked for just Rupee 2 or so. I was a bit hesitant about allowing him to carry the load. He looked old and was also limping. But talking in Marathi, he told me, it’s ok and he can do it. I was just speechless. He dropped us at the bus stop, took the money and went away. My eyes followed him till he melted in the crowd . I was sure that He was Sai Baba only Who came to help me at this hour of need. This way He gave me His darshan two times on my first visit to Shirdi.

And from that day onwards, I just placed myself in His Hands. He has given me a lot in this life and always taken care of me and my family. Whatever we are here today is just because of His blessings. He is my mother, father, sadguru, everything ….. I owe everything to Sai Baba !!!!

Sai Baba Gave Me A Good Mobile

Sai sister Deepthi from India says: I am deepthi from hyderabad devotee of BABA.

Sairam all!! I am Deepthi from Hyderabad. Firstly I request BABA to please accept my apology for posting my experience lately. Ofcourse my experience is very short and small but whatever the experience may be, BABA’s grace matters all the time.

I had been longing for a smartphone and asked my dad to buy it for me. Atlast by BABA’s blessings on Thursday we bought Samsung galaxy core. Prior to that, I promised BABA that after buying a mobile I would first come to You and show the mobile. But after buying, in excitement I forgot to show the mobile to BABA and went home to enjoy the happy movements. Still after going home I took the snap of our SAI. While taking the video, I found some waves and shakings in the mobile. When I took the mobile to the service center after one day, they went through it and said to replace the mobile. I got very upset. Then the next day it was Sunday and all the shops were closed. I was thinking why all this happened!!! Then my mum reminded that you have forgotten to visit BABA temple after buying it. I regretted so much and prayed to BABA that please excuse Your child for the mistake. I sincerely promised BABA that I would definetly come to Your temple after the replacement of my mobile irrespective of any situation and also would post this experience.

I humbly prayed BABA to give me a good mobile without any technical problem. I kept on praying SAI while going to the mobile store. After reaching there the vendor said that maximum all the core mobiles got this problem of shaking and waves in the video part. So he suggested us to take another mobile so we decided to take Samsung galaxy grand. But before buying it I requested BABA to please give an indication whether to take the mobile or not. And see the miracle!! I saw BABA photo on some vehicle going before me. Thus I got an indication and went ahead to purchase the mobile and according to the promise made by me, I first took the mobile to BABA temple and show it to BABA and then I went home. So all this happened only due to my BABA’s grace. I extremely feel sorry BABA for posting this experience so late. Please excuse You child BABA and be always supportive to me. Jai Sairam

We Reached Home Safely

Anonymous devotee from India says: Baba sent someone to help us. In 2006, one day we (my mother, me and my younger sister) decided to go to Sai Baba temple which is in our own city but that area used to be remote at that time. It was winter time, we went there by rickshaw and thought while coming back also we would be able to find rickshaw from there. We reached there and had a good darshan and attended the Aarti as well. When we came out of the temple we couldn’t find any rickshaw to come back home,so we decided to start walking. That area was remote. It was quite dark in the evening and there were not even street lights. My mother got scared and started praying to Baba that, “Baba please help me out ..i am walking alone with my 2 young daughters .Please drop us home safely”.

Out of nowhere, one car came and stopped by us and there was a family sitting in the car and they started asking us where do you want to go? Don’t worry, we will drop you. We just saw you in the temple that’s why we are asking you, where do you want to go! My mother asked them to drop us to the main road so that we can find rickshaw and go back home. They dropped us there, we found rickshaw and reached home safely and thanked Sai Baba. We felt that Baba sent someone to help us that day. Om Sai Ram !!!

  6. POTENCY OF DIVINE PRESENCE
    (SHRI SAI LEELA SEPTEMBER 1985)
    As a Sai devotee, each one of us is a perfect, immortal soul. The imperfections that POTENCY we express through our habits and moods, through sickness and failure, are not a part of our real nature. We have deeply identified ourselves with mortal consciousness unthink­ingly accepting its limitations.

    I begin my day with a prayer, "Oh, Sainath, Help me to realize that I am not this body, not my moods and habits. Make me feel that I am ever Thy child made in Thy flawless image.”

    Sai Satcharita is full of incidents describing manifestation of Lord Sainath to many of His devotees, purely out of love for them. When we leave behind all else and take the supreme plunge into infinite Sai bliss, He will manifest Himself in our lives too. Mhalsapathy had vision of Sai when he went to Jejuri on a pilgrimage. Sai Baba appeared as Gholap Maharaj, the Guru of Mule Sastri, to overcome the tatter's prejudice against Baba. We also come across many instances of Baba appearing as or identifying Himself with other saints to B.V. Dev, Mrs. Khaparde and others.

    Therefore when we turn our thoughts and love within, we shall find the eternal, loving, jovous Sainath, who is always with us. In every phase of our life — in our work, prayer, struggles with difficult­ies, enjoyment of simple pleasures — we must continually be anchored inwardly to the thought of "Sairam; Sairam; Sairam".

    In November 1983, due to some tribulations in my professional life, Lord Sainath kindled in my heart a keen desire to realise His infinite love. He prompted me to undertake a pilgrimage to several shrines and holy rivers. Accordingly I joined a conducted trip of South India.

    On the night of 16th November 1983, we reached Tirumalai Hills — the abode of Lord Balaji, The intense cold and chilly weather did not allow me a wink of sleep and in the early hours of 17th November, i.e. around 3 a.m., I left the cottage and went straight to get my beard, moustache and head shaved symbolising self-surrender. After a refreshing bath, I joined the queue for Lord Balaji's darshan with incessant recitation of Vishnu-Sahasra-Namam. As I finished the fifth recitation, I was ushered into the sanctum sanct­orum — the holy presence of Lord Balaji.

    As I looked at the magnificient Lord Balaji, an immense flash of light at once manifested to my gaze. Instead of Lord Balaji, I saw Lord Sainath standing in front of me and blessing me. The celestial response is difficult to describe; my heart was thrilled.

    "Oh Sainath, Thou art all in all to thy slave. Thou art the sole protector in the world. Men are deluded when they declare — 'I do this, I do that, this is mine, that is mine.' “All is thine Oh, Sai Ram, and all things are done by thee alone. Thy slave's one prayer to thee is to take him under thy complete guidance and remove his ‘I’-ness."

    Lord Sainath heard my prayer. My heart heaved a deep sigh. The vision vanished, but the silvery beams expanded in ever widening circles to infinity. With a thrill of inexpressible joy coursing through my spine, which made me quiver like a leaf in the breeze, I returned to the cottage, all the while musing over the incident recorded in the Bible :-

  7. The Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said:- Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart — and God said unto him… Because thou hast asked this thing and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies;….. but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgement;…. Behold, I have done according to thy words; so, I have given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches and honour…." (King 3 : 5-13).

    From Tirumalai hills, we left for Kalahasthi, Tiruttani, Madras and Kanchi. We reached Tiruvannamalai, the abode of Bhagawan Ramana on the 20th November 1983. We visited Sri Ramanashram, which is at the foot of Arunachala hills. All of us fell prostrate at Bhagawan Ramana's shrine. It is really a blessed place as Sri Ramana lived there. I joined a group of devotees in the meditation hall. A big photograph of Sri Ramana adorned the platform. In that lively picture, there was on his face a calmness and in his large eyes, a passionless look of tenderness, which cast a spell of peace and joy on all those who come there. I meditated on Bhagawan Ramana.

    As I was thus bowing down to him, the sea of the Master's compassion transcended all bounds. Sri Ramana vanished and I had a vision of Lord Sainath there too. I went into a state of divine semi-consciousness and my joy knew no bounds. Unable to utter a single word owing to that wonderful occurrence, I was looking steadfastly at Lord Sainath. Soon the vision of the Master merged in the vision of Bhagawan Ramana who blessed me.

    Oh, Sainath, that words can convey thy kindness to me! Ail glory to thee. While returning from Sri Ramanashram, all along, I was immersed in a strange ecstasy, tears flowing down profusely from my eyes. Whay joy undescribable! Oh! One moment of that existance outweighed all the pleasures of the world.

    The truth of self-revelation of divine grace became clear to me when I came across the words of Sufi-Saint, Sheikh Sadi of Iran (Sufis, Mystics and Yogis of India by Bankey Behari Pp., 38-39) :-

    "Very right is thy faith and pride in His grace,

    And true it is that it works,

    Like rain shower on a tilled field."

    Further, Baba Farid has sung in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib of the Sikhs, as follows:-

    "His grace may fall on us at any time. There is no definite rule regulating it. Some do not get it even after performing great austerities and night-long vigils; Whilst it is forced on those who He asleep."

  8. What austerities have I performed to deserve Sai-vision twice? Sainath Himself in His mercy inspired me to perform this pilgrimage for realising His oneness with Lord Balaji and Bhagawan Ramana. After all, who am I — an ordinary mortal — to deserve this grace? It is Sainath's will and power. I am absolutely nothing. Now Sainath is with me evenmore. The world may forsake me but He forsakes me . never.

    Dear Devotees, I am sharing this experience with you as there is nothing in this world more thrilling, more intoxicating, more blissful, more satisfying than Lord Sainath — the Beloved Mother, Father, Divine Being, Friend. He is our one and only True Love!

    When Lord Sainath is once convinced that it is He alone whom we want, that it is to Him alone that we turn, then He accepts us with all our weakness and shortcomings. Then Sainath takes us by the hand and He walks with us, and He talks with us and He assures us that we are His own.

    As like you all, i would like to sincerely thank baba for all his blessings through out my life..
    First i would like to share this experience with u all, recently i made an official trip to a foreign country and this is my first time travel outside the country, i was not well due to fever cough and cold, No one was with me to do the packing or for any help as my travel date was decided in the last moment, i reached airport and i was bit nervous in the immigration check and unable to stand in the queue,out of control due to health issues, more than health issue..i was panic….there it starts our Baba's miracles..in immigration counter, the officer was so kind enough to me and was very cool which brought me out of my mental pressure, and he was from my home town too, spoke to me in my mother tongue and guided in my immigration…i was so happy…no words to thank Baba…this is not an end…when i boarded the flight..i was accompanied by another brother who was very nice and friendly to me…i never felt i'm moving out of the country…i even don't know where to go and take my luggage…where to catch my next flight,timing difference, nothing- that brother explained me very clearly…and helped me every where…Baba the great….and i was waiting for this travel opportunity for a long time….i always feel nervous to ask any help from any one…sorry to say the truth…even i feel guilt to ask help from Baba..i feel i'm troubling him for everything…this time…i didn't demanded Baba…i feel Baba as my friend…so i do casual communication with him…that time i told…see Baba i left it to you…if you want me to send ,send me else no worries ..i'm not going to worry even if i'm not going to get this opportunity (but inside my heart i was bit interested to travel which i cannot hide from our baba)…there were so many difficulties and hurdles in the arrangement of travel….but finally Baba did everything and he was there all the time with me in the foreign land…i was surrounded by so many good people and i explained the miracles of Baba to my foreign friend to whom i gifted Baba's original snap which i was having…i felt so happy….i was an atheist…i have different opinions..i always try to find some scientific reason behind every action and reactions….But it never worked the way with Baba..because i know he is the smartest friend who always beat me with his truthful love and affection ..i really doubt me…do i really deserve this…his friendship, love,blessings…etc..now i feel this universe is nothing but sun which is nothing but our SAI..only SAI BABA…the only truth

    Panvel temple is must visit temple of shirdi saibaba, very well maintain by southindian trustee….. Temple has very nice idol of saibaba, u can see same luv in his eyes of baba. Any one from mumbai plz visit saibaba temple of panvel.

  30. Nice experiences! No matter what situation we are in, when something is wrong, Baba is always there with us and although we may have to suffer through some situations due to our past bad karma, one thing is for certain, Baba is always there with us to make sure that we are all right and minimize the pain we must endure. Om Sai Ram!
