How BABA Saved My Child – Sai Devotee Sonal

I am Sonal and I have been a devotee of SAI BABA for almost about 15 years and HE has always helped me in difficult times and held my hand and walked me right through those times. He has fulfilled every wish of mine irrespective of how small or big it was. Hetal Ji, I would like to appreciate the noble work that you are doing through this blog. I get so much of peace after reading the experiences here and my faith in our BELOVED BABA grows even more. I thank you with all my heart and may BABA bless you with all the good things in life.

I got married in 2005 (with BABA’S grace) and in 2008 I started trying for a baby and I did conceive. I was sailing with my husband at that time (he is in merchant navy) and when we came back to India and went for my checkups, we found out that the baby is not growing and after consulting a lot of doctors, we realized that it’s better to abort the pregnancy with medicines than to go ahead and lose it in the later stages of pregnancy. With a very heavy heart, I did take those medicines. That was the most painful and excruciating time of my life. I howled and cried for days after losing the baby and just lost all hope. But I never lost faith in our ever loving BABA.


All this happened in October and we again started trying for a baby. We didn’t have much time as my husband being in merchant navy, had to get back to sailing after a few months. And by the grace of BABA, I did conceive in December itself, which in itself is no less than a miracle. Around a month into my pregnancy, I started having problems(spotting) and when the doctor ran some tests, it was discovered that there is some major problem with the baby and when I met the doctor, she told me point blank that there is a only a 50% chance of the baby’s survival. I can’t even describe what I felt at that moment. It was like someone has hit me with a huge rock on my head. Infact even that wouldn’t be as painful as what I was going through those days.

I begged and prayed to BABA to save my child. My only wish was to have a normal and healthy baby. I got a test done to find out if the baby had any syndrome. The day I had to pick up the test results, I went to SAI MANDIR and did SAI AMRITVANI in the car throughout and BABA heard my prayers. The test results came out negative. Still the doctors said that the pregnancy is not 100% safe and the risk is still there. The only thing, which kept me going during those difficult times, was BABA.I used to just keep muttering His name throughout the day. I was on complete bed rest and I would not even get up to wash my hands. My husband would wash my hair on the bed itself. I used to get injections every 3 days. Then in my second trimester, the doctors found out that the baby is small/weak. This was another jolt for me. Every visit to the doctor was really tensing and I used to only pray to BABA to keep my baby safe.

I had the most difficult 9 months of pregnancy. But all the pain just vanished, when I held my little daughter in my hands on 19th Sep 2009, the first day of Navratra. It was an elective Cesarean and we had chosen this date because of the no 9. She was really small and underweight and after a fortnight we found out that she has a hole in her heart. I was devastated and started questioning BABA and getting angry at Him. After consulting the doctors, we figured that the only thing that we can do is wait. Usually this closes on its own within the first few years otherwise an open heart surgery has to be done. I was sure that the hole will close on its own, but I was really worried about her growth as she was really tiny and underweight.

This year, when we got the echo done for her heart, we came to know that the size has considerably reduced and that there is no need for further echos every 6 months! She turned 3 this September and is very healthy even though she is still underweight and looks small for her age. But I have full faith in our beloved BABA and I know she will be fine. It is only because of BABA’S grace that we are blessed with such a loving, most beautiful daughter and to top it all, she is a devotee of BABA too. She will take her necklace and chant BABA BABA! I am truly blessed to have a daughter like her and my only wish is for her to be healthy. I have her in my arms as I am writing this, while she innocently sleeps. Thanks a million BABA for this lovely gift of life that You have given me and my family. You have always shown us your presence and that is all we want in our life. Please keep Your ever loving and blessed hands on me, my family and everyone else.

    pls put vibhuti in water and give it to ur baby.its all above the medications and baba has told that medicines for his devotess.i regularly have vibhuti water in the morning.Baba wil look after everyting

I had tears in my eyes as I was reading your experience, although you had to go through so much with the aborted pregnancy, Baba kept his promise to you and you and your husband have a lovely daughter, who is also Baba's daughter.     Nice experience…don't worry, our baba always bless us. Your daughter will be healthy always. Cute child heart problem will cure automatically surely. We too facing similar situations, my sister son have same problem. When he born doctor said he has hole in his heart, we all very worried & cried for few days. Doctors said it will automatically close, now he is nearing two. Frequently he suffering from cold & cough.

Sai Ram…I also experienced same problem first miscarriage was done 3 years back and later we tried and with medicines and grace of baba i fallen pregnant again i miscarried again trying for baby i know painful it is i was getting tears my parents are sufering alot by seeing me dull and my husband has health issues…but baba says i will get a baby soon and all will be settled soon i have hope in baba…and i wish soon i should share the miracles waiting for that …it was very good experiences which gives us strong mind…and sure your daughter will cure sai will help all of us…he will remove our tears soon….baba please myself and husbad doing in saibaba vrat pooja with peace mmind and with no obstacles please and soon i should conceive and pregancy should be normal with n complication please…

  50. You are so lucky you have blessings of baba, your girl will be alright. Baba will always take care of her. My son having autism symptoms, we are going through very bad time, we were very happy suddenly this all happened, i know he will recover soon with baba blessings.
