Baba’s Appearance As A Black Dog And Blind Man On Our Vacation To Jamaica – Sai Devotee Bhuvi Ji

Through Baba’s grace, we had arranged for a vacation to Jamaica this summer. Before going, I had a wish that I should see Baba in His original form (Kafni and head dress) somewhere in Jamaica. My first day, I saw a black crippled dog in the beach. I had some food with me and I gave it to the dog. It ate heartily and left. The second day is when the miracle happened; I had gone to the beach around 5.30 am for a morning walk. I was walking for an hour by the seaside and then I sat to rest. I pulled the beach chair very close to the water so my legs can touch the water and I was resting and listening to songs.



I then picked a very nice song of Baba and was closing my eyes and listening to it. There is a line in the song which says “if you fold your hands and stand before Baba, you will get tears and Baba’s form will come in front of you “. Something made me open my eyes after this and to my surprise I see a black dog sitting right next to me wagging its tail (this is a different dog, the one I fed the previous day was bigger and it was limping, this dog was smaller). I was shocked and had tears. It sat there looking at me and when some people passed by it tried going towards them, but they were not that receptive and so it came back to me and sat there till the song was over. I definitely knew it was Baba in the form of the dog, because I did not see any dog there while I was walking the whole stretch of the sea shore from left to right. Also the dog came immediately after that line about “Baba’s form in the song”. I was still in the surprised state of mind and I went back to my room and explained everything to my husband. We then had breakfast and I came to the beach again. I was again sitting, very relaxed, listening to songs and again I picked the same song, I had closed my eyes with my cap and when the line came again, I asked Baba if I should open my eyes. He said yes, and I opened and wonder of wonders the same dog, which sat next to me earlier passed by me. So He assured once again that it was Him.

Baba gave me a hint that I should give some money to the local people (who were selling stuff) in the beach. So I had taken some money with me on Friday the day before my departure. While I was sitting in the beach, I saw a blind man. He was singing Jesus songs and asking for alms. The crippled black dog whom I fed the first day was also accompanying him. Baba immediately made me go to him and I gave him some money. He thanked me and asked me if I can bring him some “Ice water” as he was thirsty. To me it looked like Baba was telling me he is thirsty. I immediately went and got him two bottles of juice (so it would also suppress his hunger). I then had a strong vibe to feed the dog. I went and got some pizza and fed the dog. Internally, I am feeling like feeding Baba only as I was saying, “Wait Baba this is hot let me make it a little cold”, so I was slowly taking small pieces and feeding the dog. The dog was eating heartily. I gave some to the blind man as well. I went again and got some more pizza and fed both of them, the satisfaction I got cannot be explained in words. Totally I think I offered around 9 slices (Our Sai Maa’s number). The man again asked me for ice water and I went and got some for him. Then I had a feeling that I should give him more money, but I had to go back to my room. So I asked him to wait and got some more money (this time I kept it under Baba’s feet before bringing) and then gave the same to him with Baba’s blessings.

The man was happy and touched, he asked when I was leaving , I said the next day, he said several times that he was going to miss me and he loves me so much for my kindness. He also told me that people around him sometimes beat him. I was sad to hear that. I told him to keep chanting “SAI”, “SAI RAM”, (actually I could not control my tears, when I told this sentence to him). He asked me, who is “SAI”. I told him Sai is like Jesus and He sits in crossed legged position. He is very powerful and He will surely come to your rescue if you call His name. Also I said “ALL GOD IS ONE”, so praying to Sai, or Jesus is all the same. So always think of God and He will help you. He acknowledged saying yes and that is what I am doing every day. I sing for the lord. I also asked him if he was the owner of the dog. He said no he is not the owner. But the dog has been following him for a long time now and sometimes it goes back to its owner and then comes back to him again. I told him, it is not dog but it is god in the form of dog, who is following him and helping him with each step he takes.

He asked me to give me my phone number and that he has a phone and he will call me. I also casually gave him my number and to my astonishment he called me the very next day I landed here in Atlanta. He was asking when I am going to come back to Jamaica and he still could not come out of the love and affection showered. I immediately understood this is a tortured soul looking to gain love and affection which unfortunately was not showered on him. He asked me to keep him in his prayers and I am praying for him every day to Baba. I am thankful to Baba for providing me with such a nice, fortunate experience of feeding the hungry, which is so dear to him.

I had subscribed for Sai Baba’s blessing in facebook and the next day I am getting the message that “Know for certain that he who feeds the hungry really serves me , regard this as an eternal truth”. This concludes that all this was Baba’s Leela. I had only wished to see Baba in His original form once, but Baba blessed me generously by appearing before me throughout my vacation multiple times. This will certainly be a blissful memory to cherish upon.

This also reminds me of the saying from Sai Satcharitra “Different sadhanas (means of accomplishments) are prescribed in our scriptures for different ages. Tapa (Penance) is recommended for Krita age, Jnana (Knowledge) for Treta age, Yajna (Sacrifice) for Dwapara age and Dana (Charity) for Kali (present) age. Of all the charities, giving food is the best one. We are much perturbed when we get no food at noon. Other beings feel similarly under similar circumstances. Knowing this, he who gives food to the poor and hungry, is the best donor or charitable person. The Taittiriya Upanishad says that “Food is Brahma. From food all the creatures are born and having been born, by food they live, and having departed, into food again they enter. When an Atithi (uninvited guest) comes to our door at noon, it is our bounden duty to welcome him by giving him food. Other kinds of charities, viz., giving away wealth, property and clothes etc., require some discrimination, but in the matter of food, no such consideration is necessary. Let anybody come to our door at noon, he should be served forthwith; and if lame, crippled, blind and diseased paupers come, they should be fed first and the able-bodied persons and our relations afterwards. The merit of feeding the former is much greater than that of feeding the latter. Other kinds of charities are imperfect without this Anna-dana (giving of food) as stars are without the moon, a necklace without its central medal, a crown without pinnacle, a tank without a lotus, bhajan without love, a married lady without the kumkum-mark, singing without a sweet voice or butter-milk without salt. Just as varan (Pulse-soup) excels all other dishes, Anna-dana is the best of all merits.

IMPORTANT

Through Baba’s grace, I am doing continuous Sai Charithra Parayan (This is my 32nd time – 1 chapter/day and more during holidays and weekends). So the above mentioned incident happened on a Friday and the following Thursday (Baba’s day) the chapter I got for reading is about Mrs Tarkhad feeding a hungry dog. I was surprised and happy again with Baba’s direct communication to me, when I was reading the below lines. As these lines I was repeating within myself while feeding the dog and whenever I think of that and Baba communicated the same to me on the first Thursday after the incident. Just like Mrs Tarkhad, I was filled with tears of joy and happiness. I simply have no words to express our Deva’s love. Love You so much Sai Maa. Lines from Sai Charithra reading below.

Baba Fed Sumptuously. How?

Once, Mrs. Tarkhad was staying in a certain house in Shirdi. At noon, meals were ready and dishes were being served, when a hungry dog turned up there and began to cry. Mrs. Tarkhad got up at once and threw a piece of bread, which the dog gulped with great relish. In the afternoon, when she went to the Masjid and sat at some distance, Sai Baba said to her, “Mother, you have fed Me sumptuously up to my throat. My afflicted pranas (life-forces) have been satisfied. Always act like this, and this will stand you in good stead. Sitting in this Masjid, I shall never, never speak untruth. Take pity on Me like this. First give bread to the hungry, and then eat yourself. Note this well. She could not at first understand the meaning of what Baba said. So she replied — “Baba, how could I feed You? I am myself dependent on others and take my food from them on payment.” Then Baba replied — “Eating that lovely bread I am heartily contended and I am still belching. The dog which you saw before meals and to which you gave the piece of bread is, one with Me, so also other creatures (cats, pigs, flies, cows etc.) are one with Me. I am roaming in their forms. He, who sees Me in all these creatures is My beloved. So abandon the sense of duality and distinction, and serve Me, as you did today.” Drinking these nectar-like words, she was moved, her eyes were filled with tears, her throat was choked and her joy knew no bounds.

    My dear sai family i need ur help/suggestion. Pls help me, iam in big confusion rite now. My whole family is a adhrent SAI BABA devotees, my sister got a dream, in her dream Baba appeared and asking her, where is ur sister? Ask her not to worry. By telling this BABA giving 4 to 5 papers to my sister and telling her, ask ur sister to read this, she'l be ok, she'l get wat ever she want in her life.
    Actually i need a job, a guy is loving me sincerely but im waiting for my Baba approval to accept him. Lots of financial problem in my life. Basically im a short tempered person, no one likes me tats y Baba also dont like me na? What Baba is asking to read? How i can under stand his sign for my relationship? Im reading sai sat charithra, now wat shall i do? Pls help me

  30. Very nice experience! Baba showed you that no matter where you go, He will always be there in some form. Although sometimes we feel we should not give to strangers or have a fear of strangers doing bad things if we get involved with them, it is wonderful that you had no such fears because of your faith in Sai Baba. Baba guided you and told you not to fear this blind man or dog and you gave and served Baba in this form very well and surely Baba will bless you and your family a lot for what you did. Om Sai Ram!

  35. I am so much depressed, lasting my shradda & patience, decided to die with in 2 days. i have no hope in my life.BABA don't wants me,he leaves me alone at this situation.So i decided to go to baba by myself. May be baba guided me toward this decision, all our thoughts are in baba's control.

    • I am the person who posted this. Thank u for your concern towards me. First of all i want to say SORRY to BABA. I have so many experiences with baba, baba somany times showed his presence to me. In the last three years i faced so many bad situations & had suicidal tendencies, but every time i overcame from that thought by praying & remembering baba's kindness & leelas. But from the last 5 months my situation is worst but i never lost my hope & faith. But last day's situation made me so restless & i decided to commit suicide last night itself. On that situation my mind wants to post something in any baba's page & i posted this,during the post i don't know why i typed 2 days instead of this day(It's only because of baba). After this post i started reading some posts, then with so much of crying i felt very tired & i slept with in 5 minutes. This day baba again shows his presence with his miracle & i got some relief with my worst situation. This is only matter of waiting one more day. Baba really saved my life. I am so sorry baba , really i am feeling so sorry. How can i lost my hope on you, you are my father,mother,guide,everything.Thank you baba. I realised with this incident that nobody knows what will happens in the very next minute (or) day (or) even a month (or) year. Nothing is impossible to our baba. I am the biggest example to all who wants to die & loosing hope on baba. Please nobody never never do this sort of thinking. Who knows may be baba completely heals our lives with in days. LOVE U BABA, PLEASE FORGIVE ME. Once again thank u for your concern.
